21:19 < mischa010> to give some context: i made up a model to predict propagation times and it seems to agree with data quite well, but it contains a term for the 'propagation speed'
21:19 < gmaxwell> Currently?  my logs from a day ago show that of the 143 blocks it got, 6 contained any transactions it didn't know in advance. So in those cases some transactions needed to be validated. Otherwise none did, and the only time taken was the compact block reconstruction and verifying the hash.

21:23 < gmaxwell> anything post compact blocks (or really even post relay network protocol) is mostly measuring the deployment level of compact blocks.
