03:40 < bitonic-cjp> Fun thing was: I had a misunderstanding of JSON-RPC. About half of the time I assumed 'error' was an integer, and half of the time I assumed it was a string. Both assumptions were wrong.

04:01 < willcl_ark> so according to my testing, even combining `lightning-cli sendpay (lighting-cli getroute) payment_hash && lightning-cli waitsendpay payment_hash` doesn't seem to actually increase the time C-Lightning will wait for a payment to complete -- still it seems to time out very quickly... My issue is that I am proxying the traffic via low-bandwidth mesh network, so the latency is very high. Is there any way I can increase the time C-Lightning will await
