01:08 <@cdecker> kabaum: the payment was aborted after 1 minute from the first part reaching the destination because of this: WIRE_MPP_TIMEOUT (that is the recipient giving up on the payment and returning all parts that it already received)
01:09 <@cdecker> Retrying caused us to use more of the information we had gathered during the first attempts to better plan our routes in the second attempt, and we stayed under the 1 minute mark at which the recipient gives up
01:11 <@cdecker> Randomization never eliminates potential good routes, it just selects random ones from the set of possible ones (biasing a bit against the shortest route to throw off heuristics), so it should work out of the box
