I saw that the master fingerprint is derived from the m/0h xpub, but the bitbox02 only provides a small number of account level xpubs. There is an extra endpoint specifically to get the master fingerprint though. 15:19 -!- jonatack [~jon@2a01:e0a:53c:a200:bb54:3be5:c3d0:9ce5] has joined ##hwi 15:24 < TheCharlatan> Do y'all have any preference on how to handle this? I could raise an exception when attempting to retrieve m/0h in the bitbox02 and then try to recover in the commands to get the fingerprint. Alternatively I also though of adding another function specifically to get the fingerprint to all clients. 19:09 -!- davterra [~dulyNoded@195.206.105.106] has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds] 21:20 < achow101> TheCharlatan: it'd probably be better to have a function specifically for retrieving fingerprints. the m/0h thing is a bit of a hack that should be hidden behind client implementations 21:44 < fanquake> achow101 don't want to step on your toes, but going to take a look at some of these reproducibility issues 21:45 < achow101> fanquake: please do. I'm trying to figure out how to build libudev (part of systemd) and using it without fucking up something important 23:58 -!- Netsplit *.net <-> *.split quits: stevenroose, wumpus, provoostenator 23:58 -!- Netsplit *.net <-> *.split quits: nothingmuch
