That is, given a pre-existing channel opened before the counterparties implemented the option, if then both nodes implement it, and they negotiate the feature during init, can they send channel_ready (containing their respective aliases)? Is it ok to always send channel ready right after channel_reestablish if option_scid_alias was 
13:34 < ghost43> negotiated during init? That's the impression I get from e.g. https://github.com/lightning/bolts/pull/910/files#r807436433 - but not really from the spec text itself. It would make sense to allow this I think.
13:35 < ghost43> I have some old channels with the ACINQ node (and some other eclair nodes) where the feature is negotiated during init but they never send me an alias :(  Looks like the other old channels I have with non-eclair nodes do not even negotiate the option, so can't test those.
