Instead, I now get the impression that it was, "here's a way to think about implementing economic anti-DoS measures: to the greatest degree possible, align the costs we charge with the costs we pay so that attacks, rather than undermining the network, contribute to making it more capable---

11:10 < roasbeef> re the "wait 12 blocks to remove public chans thing", when ppl do this are they marking the chan that "looked" like it closed diff? otherwise, you'd sort of over index on the amount of actually available capacity of that node, eg: had 1 BTC chan, spliced 0.1 now 1.1 BTC, do you see that link as 2.1 BTC from the PoV of path finding or graph metrics?
