06:32 < docl> thinking about the betting market thing people in rationality land seem overexcited about. it occurs to me that markets are not anything like as smart as possible, their main optimizing criteria is being anti-inductive rather than productive. similar to how evolution optimizes for inclusive genetic fitness and how AI searches for computable/cheap to check algorithms. so maybe we can think of markets as
