Aspirant Cybernetics and Cybernetics Engineering student here! 10:17 < hprmbridge> kanzure> what year of school? 10:18 < hprmbridge> chiaranardella> I have to recover a couple years of school than I can go study in University 10:18 < hprmbridge> kanzure> are you still a student? 10:19 < hprmbridge> chiaranardella> I will be again soon enough 10:19 < hprmbridge> kanzure> what kind of cybernetics are you building? 10:20 < Jay_Dugger> Hello, everyone. 10:20 < hprmbridge> chiaranardella> The idea is to create cybernetic limbs, then continue from there 10:24 < hprmbridge> chiaranardella> For now I cannot build anything, don't have the skills, machinery, funding and most of the important knowledge needed for building something 10:25 < hprmbridge> chiaranardella> My hands are tied at the moment 10:29 < hprmbridge> kanzure> hmm. there's usually a way to find something. 10:34 < hprmbridge> chiaranardella> For now the only thing I can do is get the hell back to school, get the Italian "Diploma di Maturità" and then go to University and achieve my dreams of working in the cybernetics field 10:34 < juri_> study hard. :) 10:36 < hprmbridge> chiaranardella> I'd be damned if I will not study very hard, and most importantly: smart 10:37 < hprmbridge> chiaranardella> There is a saying here that says: "Work smart, not hard" 10:43 < hprmbridge> kanzure> Most of the time there's a way to do these projects outside of school or even during school. Usually the classes won't actually teach you how to do something like this. 10:44 < hprmbridge> kanzure> you could focus on the next gen elastomer electrode interfaces, like the high density electrode arrays. 10:45 < hprmbridge> kanzure> Mostly those are being used for brain implants at the moment. You could probably make some progress on limbs if you got a hold of some or made your own. It would be easier to start with animals instead of human limbs, they usually won't let you do human implant surgery without a medical license. 10:49 < hprmbridge> chiaranardella> Yes but without a diploma and atleast a degree, my hands are tied like I already said. And yes I know already that schools don't actually teach you how to work, I experienced it first hand multiple times 10:50 < juri_> teach others what you learn; you learn quite a lot in explaining a thing. 10:51 < hprmbridge> kanzure> did you know you can do things without asking for a diploma? you can just buy stuff and do things. 10:51 < hprmbridge> kanzure> nobody asks for your diploma when you buy an op-amp or a machine shop 10:51 < hprmbridge> chiaranardella> With what money, skills and knowledge? 10:55 < juri_> skills you develop, and knowledge you develop. 10:55 -!- streety [~streety@176-58-127-93.ip.linodeusercontent.com] has quit [Server closed connection] 10:55 < juri_> as for resources..
