16:07 < sphertext> fenn my conspiracy theory is that big tech is lobbying unicode to keep adding new emojis, because in order for them to be available natively, the consumer is motivated to upgrade their OS to a version with newer system fonts, which eventually requires them to purchase new hardware, so it's basically a tactic for planned obsolescence
