Why are ECC keys the sizes the size of "the prime field size / 2"? So secp256* has 128 bits of encryption. But as I understand it, the public key P is a point on the curve within the field on the curve G and the private key is some scalar k such that P = kG which is the elliptical curve discrete logarithm problem.
