I say might because I haven't thought through the cmov overheads required to get it constant time, though I think they may be lower than multicomb. It also has gej+gej adds and I dunno how slow making those constant times would be. 20:23 < gmaxwell> The idea is that the precomputed table is G*2^(n*4) for [0,128/4) *virtually times 2 w/ endo. You fixed window wnaf decompose the number w/ 52 buckets, and use the ecmult_multi odd-multiples addition ladder to combine the buckets. It takes 72 point additions (with 52 buckets)... w/ same memory I think multicomb is 51a25d. Doing it constant time would involve cmoving over the buckets instead of the 20:23 < gmaxwell> table in memory. 22:00 -!- weez17 [~isaac@unaffiliated/weez17] has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds] 22:17 -!- weez17 [~isaac@unaffiliated/weez17] has joined #secp256k1 22:34 -!- meshcollider [meshcollid@209.141.50.204] has joined #secp256k1 --- Log closed Sun Jan 05 00:00:45 2020
