08:14 < real_or_random> things we could do: 1) ignore it, it may be resolved next week or soon. this means we have a red checkmark. not nice but well, we know what it means. 2) we could pin gcc to the latest working version. if we do this, this means we need to pin and unpin on a regular basis... 3) we could move the experimental compilers to a nightly job. (not sure what does this does to the checkmark).   
08:16 < real_or_random> 4) for this kind of failure, we could grep for "internal compiler error", and make the test green in this case... this sounds reasonable to me. but it won't catch all the problems (e.g., we could see less graceful compiler crashes in the future. but I except them to be rare)
