07:04 < josie[m]> nvm, seems to be a problem with my bitcoin repo, not the build system. started with a fresh clone of the repo and everything seems to be working 
07:07 < dongcarl> josie[m]: Did you ever try to run a ci docker build in the same worktree? Sometimes that can mess it up (cuz docker runs as root by default)
07:08 < dongcarl> josie[m]: In any case, I recommend `guix-clean` or (if you wanna wipe guix intermediaries) `git clean -xdff` for all your build system woes

07:09 < josie[m]> `guix-clean` didn't fix the problem, but as im digging in a bit more it looks like the depends directory is the one that's fubar'd 
07:25 < dongcarl> josie[m]: Yeah one of them got chowned to root:root I think
07:26 < dongcarl> Probably a good up-for-grabs is to enable uid/gid spoofing when running docker ci builds
