09:40 < Ademan> this seems to be very old, but in rust-secp256k1 (and in rust-bitcoin) From<PublicKey> for XOnlyPublicKey silently drops parity. That seems like a footgun, although there probably aren't that many chances for someone who doesn't know better to accidentally invoke that API.
