script-path would let you use APO-AS, and thus avoid update signatures dup 10:55 < ariard> but I think it makes the cost of non-cooperative update spend higher, compared to a more optimized option where they would spend directly the key path 10:55 < ariard> and we can't because you need key tag 10:57 < ariard> like an unilateral close spending directly the funding output, which should be the optimistic spend of the non-cooperative close (we can assume counterparties are not buggy or malicious and won't broadcast intermediary updates) 11:38 -!- yanmaani hmm, "2 signatures" is ambiguous... i mean, there's two ways you can sign for an eltoo state/update/commitment: one is by spending the funding tx, the other is by spending a previous state. so when doing a channel update, you have to be sure to have sigs for both paths. you could do that with a single signature, by having the funding output have a tapscript path that matches the state 21:45 < _aj_> outputs (state "0"). or you could do two separate sigs, and use a non-APO keypath signature when spending the funding tx 21:45 < _aj_> ariard: unlike with PTLC claims, i don't think you need to have two signatures onchain for the eltoo state updates; a single musig signature should work, i think 21:47 < _aj_> ariard: (if you want to have the funding output be batched, like in the ideas for CTV, then you can't spend it without an APO signature though) 22:00 -!- instantp10neer [~instantp1@user/instantp10neer] has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 22:10 -!- instantp10neer
