You could already have a single anchor output that is anyonecanspend today, that each party could RBF. But that is trivially 01:12 < darosior> pinnable by rule 3. 01:12 < darosior> ariard: "the original motivation of carve-out iirc" -> The carve-out was introduced in order to workaround the replacements DOS limits by not replacing anything but just allowing each party to further incentivize miners to include the time-sensitive transaction. 01:16 -!- Guyver2 AaronvanW [~AaronvanW@user/AaronvanW] has quit [Quit: Leaving...] 17:08 < ariard> darosior: okay i see now what I got confused with carve out and descendant limits, there was an issue with the mempool logic when the carve-out was implemented, the descendants of the ancestor were accounted to allow a RBF on one of the carve-out output, see https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/15681#issuecomment-508207606 17:08 < ariard> i'm not sure if the fix, as implemented by #16421, would scale to high-number of N participants 17:09 < ariard> darosior: i think package relay removes the necessity to think about the descendant limits, as the whole pinning package would be replaced 17:10 < ariard> of course, you still need a solution to rule 3, though you also need package relay as otherwise your counterparty could broadcast a old commitment transaction across the network mempools 17:10 < ariard> and your CPFP won't propagate, i think
