09:37 < cdecker[m]> Yeah, it's used in the TLS implementation, as an alternative to openssl. We could switch to openssl for some platforms, but that's likely an ugly fix

09:41 < cdecker[m]> I don't think so, authentication isn't the only thing TLS provides, but also confidentiality and integrity. In addition Runes are inherently bearer tokens, which can be extracted by an eavesdropper on an unencrypted connection, kind of defeating the point, since it allows impoersonation
