02:40 < belcher> back in 2015/16 demand for block space was low the field was created, later as demand for block space went up transactions stopped being confirmed quickly, so the taker was recoded to just pay for most of the miner fee

12:21 < waxwing> so the bitcoind wallet doesn't see any private keys, but uses the addresses imported to keep track of transactions on behalf of the JM wallet
