02:34 < cdecker[m]> More important imho is that we communicate explicitly what the parties expect to happen, i.e., the LSP might want to signal (with a `custommsg`?) that this is an instance of such a reduced payment, so that the recipient (plugin) doesn't have to reconcile something unexpected. The really nice part about this is that potentially this'd allow a much leaner setup with the LSP, by avoiding exchanging `payment_hashes` and just communicating

Still requires a bit of twiddling on our side (the plugin would have to delete the old invoice for the full amount, and create a new one with the reduced amount so they match for the one renumerating the LSP, but that's easy enough to do).
