Antioxidants can speed up the progression of lung cancer. I was thinking that by inverting the pathway they affect we could significantly slow down the progression of cancer. But I haven’t seen anyone make this hypothesis in any academic literature. I’m wondering

23:47 < fenn> @Eli about 12 years ago i talked to a UC berkeley professor who said they were successfully treating various cancers by inhaling a cold oxygen plasma. the cancer cells are right on the edge of self destructing through oxidative damage, and the oxygen radicals from the plasma push them over the edge, but still within the capacity for normal cells to absorb
23:50 < fenn> @Eli i've also read (according to steve fowkes anyway, he might be a bit cranky) that ozone can be absorbed through the skin with a special sealed below the neck suit and lots of ventilation. the body can handle a much higher concentration without damage than the lung tissue
