00:49 < darosior> eventually the latest version gets signed and uploaded at https://forge.rust-lang.org/infra/other-installation-methods.html#standalone-installers but if we can make use of a compiler that has been around for a little while, was tested (and hopefully reviewed in part) by the larger community, and safely distributed by distributions' package managers
